(1) Thermal Insulation—With its fine, independent bubble structure and ultra-low thermal conductivity (less than 0.04 W/m·K), it effectively reduces energy exchange caused by air convection, making it ideal for manufacturing thermal insulation pipes and boards. Moreover, it also features anti-condensation properties, making it exceptionally suitable as an insulation material for humid environments such as refrigerators, air conditioners, and cold storage facilities.
(2) Buffering Properties—Its semi-rigid foam material features low density and excellent impact resistance. Even after being subjected to strong impacts, it retains its recovery performance. It is widely used in packaging applications for precision instruments, semiconductors, electronic products, and other similar fields.
(3) Sound Absorption—Possesses excellent sound-absorbing and noise-reducing performance, with good acoustic damping, resilience, and impact resistance. Its permanent compression rate is below 5%. It is ideally suited as a sound-absorbing and sound-insulating material for use in environments and equipment characterized by high noise levels, such as automobiles and electric motors.
(4) Formability—(XPE/IXPE) boasts excellent heat resistance, superior ductility, and uniform density, enabling it to be vacuum-formed and thermoformed even in deeply recessed areas. As a result, it can be used as a material for interior components such as automotive air-conditioning evaporator cabinets and heated roof panels, as well as for footwear materials. It is also suitable for manufacturing sports protective gear and leisure products.
(5) In addition, XPE/IXPE also boasts properties such as being non-toxic, odorless, resistant to chemicals, oil-resistant, acid-resistant, halogen-resistant, and resistant to a wide variety of other chemical substances. Moreover, it is extremely easy to process—can be cut to any desired shape—and can be bonded with a variety of materials. As a new generation of highly efficient, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly material, XPE/IXPE holds great promise for future development.
