Applications of XPE Foam Sheet

Steel pipe coating and protection: XPE foam is suitable for pipe wrapping, steel pipe protection, impact absorption and anti-corrosion support applications.

Water and moisture resistance: The closed-cell structure helps prevent water and moisture penetration, which is useful for protecting steel from corrosion.

Chemical resistance: XPE foam resists damage from oils and solvents, making it suitable for many industrial environments.

Impact absorption: It provides impact damping and vibration control, helping protect pipes and equipment from physical stress.

Durability and flexibility: The cross-linking process improves durability and tear resistance while keeping the foam flexible for shaping and installation.

Lightweight: XPE foam is easy to handle and install, which helps reduce labor and handling difficulty in fabrication projects.

XPE Chemical Crosslinked Foam Sheet FAQ

What is XPE chemical crosslinked polyethylene foam?

XPE chemical crosslinked polyethylene foam is a closed-cell PE foam produced in continuous rolls. It has smooth skins, low water absorption, good flexibility, thermal insulation, cushioning, sound absorption and chemical resistance.

What is XPE foam sheet used for?

XPE foam sheet is used for pipe coating, thermal insulation, sound absorption, vibration control, building and construction insulation, packaging, automotive parts, backpack padding, luggage, flooring underlayment and custom foam parts.

What is the difference between XPE foam and IXPE foam?

XPE foam is chemically crosslinked polyethylene foam, while IXPE foam is irradiation crosslinked polyethylene foam. Both are closed-cell PE foams, but IXPE usually has a finer cell structure, while XPE is widely used for insulation, packaging, construction and industrial cushioning applications.
